It is ironic Western Australia’s premier dubbed the Productivity Commission “east coast clowns” after it recommended nixing a special GST distribution deal for the mining-rich state that is costing federal taxpayers $6 billion a year.
Politicians behave like clowns more often than buttoned-down economic bureaucrats.
